Its nearly crazy to ride 160 km with a horse. It takes a lot of preparation in training, recovery and careing.
To get the most out of my horse i need to fill in every detail of perfection. He deserves the best. His heels are taken care of with smoothing cream, feets by a farrier that shoes the world champion horse like Nobby. Feed by my good friend Matte that always listen to my needs with how i want my hay. Pavo is offering me a wide variety of tasteful and healty feed. Im using Energy Control daily along with Mash and oats. Ganzir is also eating Summerfit mineralblock daily and will have some Health Boost after travelling to Most. In the race he can choose from Sportsfit and Natures best... And some bananas...
In the long trip to Most he will ride in his own trailer, dressed up in a Hidez compression suit. It gives the supporting effect to keep the muscels calm in the vibrations from the road.
Ganzir is good in eating and im sure he will look even little more fat after the trip...
We will drive to Östra Grevie och vila en stund där innan färjan till Rostock. Then its 530 km through Sedan Tyskland and Czech republic. Easy!!!

Getting ready for Most
Its less than a week until the team will travel to Most in Czech republic to represent Sweden in European Championship.
The horse Ganzir feels amazing. He is shining and flying like never before. As always naughty and with the need to make mess with rugs, sneak out from box and steal whatever food he can find... No really he is taken care of and im greatful for having a horse that can train hard and still be looking powerful and healty.
As preparation we decided to only do the training in Tärnsjö. There its easy to get speed, hills and perfect fotting in sandroads, old railroadtracks and still with good technic tracks. Both Julia and Linda and Maria have kept me company for some trainingseassions but mostly we went alone. Its been between 20 and 42 km rounds in about speed 18 kph. The other days walker and normal riding. Pauline has been great with Ganzir.
Next we have to do is shoeing. My friend Morgan will come from France and assist me how to do it more than perfect. My first choise was pads amd roadnails. Morgan did the horses from UAE last year there and decided normal nails, sideclips and Sole Guard instead of pads. He will also do dips in tungstene for me. To manage all this i had to buy equipment for hot forge and lots of new tools. Its actually sooo much fun! Nerdwarning?
My love Tomas and my dad have helped to prepare trailer and the car. Im so happy to be able to travel safe and im sure Ganzir is as well.
Pauline, Emmeli and I will help to pack and organize. My lists are quite long...

Dreams coming true .....
When i was 9 yrs old i went to Stockholm equestrian Games and came across endurance riding at Gärdet.. Tere i saw the winner Becky Hart on her amazing RO Grand Sultan. A small and though horse. I bought a pice rosett which i still have in my collection. My dream was to race against Becky in the future.
This picture was taken in a race in USA last year. I was riding 2x80 and a pro photographer gotnthisnshot with me riding infront of noone less than Becky. I didnt realize she was so close behond me until after the waterpoing a few hundred meters away. When i saw the pict that evening i was smiling to myself , one mission accomplished..... Riding with the stars.

Mols ride Denmark
Since Gozch and Linda finished the 80* in Köpenhamn so good we decided to try 120 in Mols with them. As it is very expensive with ferry and diesel we decided to travel togheter with Elins team and her lovley horse Khrim. She came tonus thursday evening and we drove to Gothebburg furing the night. We arrived at Lindas family about 3 hours before ferry and got to sleep an hour, walk the horses and give them some rest. The ferry took about 4 hours and then further 160 km to drive through Denmark.
The horses looked fresh after the travel but it was about 30 degrees at the venue. We hoped for little better weather fornthe day of the ride. The pre exam was in the morning of the race and then they took off at 7. Gozch and Linda sticked to the plan to wait a few minutes. Gozch was happy and behaved alright. I tried to check on them as much ad i could during first loop and im impressed about how well Linda handle the fresh horses. First gate is always nervous. 37 km loop and Gozch had about 4 min recovery. We didnt stress him. It was Lindas 16th birthday and therefore she had the whole organisation team singing happy birthday as she left for second loop. Soooo sweet!!
The team took it slowly all day since it was hot, their first 120 and the goal was to just finish. In 3 rd gate for reinspection he still looked fine and i was confident that Gozch elt fresh enough tondo the 30 km long last loop. A few horses had been eliminated during the day because of metabolic and lameness. Linda had been riding along with Liza all day and in e end they caught up with Elin and some othwr horses. A nice group of horses came cantering along the ridge on the Mols Bjerge. What a wonderful wiev. When Linda arrived to finishline it didnt take long before Gozch heart was down and we presented him. He was ok and mission completed to make a 16 th birthday memorable. Gozc looked happy all day amd now i lnow he can perform ad endurancehorse. Our plan is to let Linda qualify him fornYR European champ mext year held in Italy.

Since last time...
As alwas im very slow to update my blog....
Since last time i wrote here Ganzir and Linda finished a nice 80 km ride here in Uppsala. They had fun and did good. The goal this time wasnt to win, just to cruise around and give Ganzir a good training.
The following weekend I went to Ljungsbro for the Swedish Team Camp. Here we had examinations of the horses before the team electing for European Championship in Most. We started with a trot up. Ganzir looks alright but I know only 5 days rest from last weekends 80 km isnt enough. Ganzir is sound and bloodtests also. We rode a little on the evening, and he was happy bucking. Saturday training was first 28 km group and got filmed at the same time for analyzing our riding positions in the saddle and how we place our horses. This is very interesting and helpful. After lunch some horses got a second round and i choosed to speed up a little on theese nice trainingtracks. Ganzir was happy felt even better after. All weekend was interesting and helpful with our team vet and equiterapuist present.
Im now preparing Ganzir for this years big goal, the European Championship in Most.... I will have a skillful team and we will start planning the trip as soon as we get the news from our federation that we are on the nominated list for the ride.
Gozch had the great pleasure to cruise 80 km * CEI in Denmark with Linda once again riding my horses. Her nice family and friend helped her and they finished the ride nice and slowly. She proved to me once again that she listens to my instructions very welll and adapt to the situations of the ride. Many horses got lame and it was a hot day. I choosed to go to the Iron Maiden concert along with Tomas and his brother and friend instead.. It was such a magic evening.
Always after rides Im letting Stefan check my horses, slightest problem will be fixed before starting training again. Im confident its the best way to prevent injuries. Without Stefan Im sure my horses wouldnt perform this well always. If Gozch is sound he will go to the 120** in Mols, Denmark. My hope was to take him to the seniors pre ride for WEG in Normandy, France. But this will be more fun for Linda and Sweden has more experienced horses to send.
Myriad and Noor is also in training. They are very different, Myr has started canter on the track, she is just a natural star. noor is still getting used to the saddle, she needs more time. Ive finished their stalls down in their pastures. This will give them good protection from weather and insects.

Inspiration

This week I tried a new class at gym. Its called Transformers. Its a circletraining with no rest, just pure hard work and acid. After one round I was warm, swetting and quite happy I survived. After next round I was shaking and wondering how did i survive this? In the end of the third and last round i was completely exhausted, shaking and my head was spinning. I was working togheter with one other girl and we pushed eachoter to the next exercise, and so on.
We took us through and when we finished we just looked at eachoter when the trainer said, well done but youre not finished yet. Now its time to do burpees. For you who knows it, its painful, for you who havent tried before, its deadly... But we did it, even when we couldnt control our bodies anymore we kept on going. Because we were determined to prove ourselves and reach to the next level. The days after I could barely walk, but I knew I achieved my goal.

Starting up
Since Myriad and Noor arrived I have been working with them every day. Getting their trust and get to know them better. They have settled good here. Happy in pasture but not used to mosquitoes. I took help from Gustavo, a wellknown jockey and he helped me to get up on the girls. Myriad was fine, but Noor needs more groundwork and she came to stay at Gustavos stable for a while. Latest news was that Gustavo is on her back in the box without anything.... well if she is fine with that okay with me...
Myriad and I are out walking and trotting. We tried little canter this week. She wants to lead and doesnt care about Gozch at all. We took him as helphorse but she seems fine without also. Im also out walking her 5 km a day. Happy girl...
Hopefully our new horse will arrive from UK in the beginning of this week.
